Here are some tips will help you for sure. Carpets add life to a dull house and make a home look refreshed and lively. For homes having pets, it becomes crucial for the household to take extra care of the carpet because pets soil the carpet too often. If you leave the carpet as it is, it will look stained and dirty asking you for thorough carpet cleaning frequently. Whenever you sport your pet near the carpet or see if it has soiled the carpet, you must immediately clean the area and train the pet to stop spoiling the carpet anyways. Let the pet learn good habits of going outside in case it wants to urinate. Such habits are always good to keep the house safe from the bad odour of pets. Not making the pets learn these habits are an open invitation to dirt and unnecessary bad odour to ruin the surroundings. Cleaning the Carpet Area Whenever the pet soils the carpet, you have to immediately clean the area so that the carpet doesn’t soak up the urine. Take a newspaper or paper towel and keep them on the soiled area. Cover the area with a thick layer of papers and newspapers so as to make them absorb the urine and doesn’t let it go inside the carpet. If it goes, thorough carpet cleaning will be required either using a vacuum cleaner or steam cleaning. For vacuuming, you can buy the best pet vacuum and for steam cleaning, professional cleaning services will be required. When you keep the paper on the carpet, stand on it for a minute or so and then remove it. Again use a new paper and repeat the process again as it will soak up the urine and stops it from getting inside the carpet. Once done, take some cool water and wash the area properly and then use a vacuum to dry it off. Towel can also be used for the drying purpose. If the stains are set on the carpet, then vacuum cleaning is must to remove the traces of anything that have settled in. Water and cleaning agent are perfect for basic cleaning and they remove the stains nicely. You just have to put some extra efforts and time in the cleaning to keep the carpets clean and refreshing for long years to come. Go for the cleaning at weekends when you don’t have to rush for your workplace and you can invest pretty good time in the cleaning. Once when you are done with cleaning and drying of the carpet, if you see any stains on it still, then use a carpet stain remover but avoid using it too often as it can weaken the threads of the carpet thus making it tear off before time. I would strongly recommend the pet owners to teach their pets about eliminating in designated areas only and not everywhere they feel like doing. Carpets are sensitive and if they get soiled, it becomes hard to clean them and frequent cleaning also shortens the lives of carpets. So stop your pets to urinate inside the house especially on carpets.
