Plastic is another option and one which is becoming increasingly popular. Plastic houses make a great buy for quite a few reasons. They are inexpensive but because of the many advances in plastic are extremely durable. There is also a huge variety of options made from this material which means there is something for every pet even heated dog houses to keep your pooch toasty warm on even the coldest winter days. Keep These In Mind There are quite a few things to remember when shopping for dog houses however there are two which stand out. The first is that you should never purchase a house which does not have a raised floor. A raised floor will keep out rain water which means your dog will be dry. It also serves to keep out pesky ticks and fleas. The second is that you should always make sure that the model you are looking at makes cleaning easy. This could be by having a removable roof or one that opens with hinges. If it is not easy and convenient to clean the odds of you keeping it sanitary on a regular basis are pretty slim which is not good for any pet. Every dog needs its own space to beat the heat not to mention all of the other elements.
